I am so happy to be in Vermont, a state that supports direct entry midwives through licensure. Central Vermont is especially abundant in families desiring home birth and the support of a licensed homebirth midwife. I am in service to you as a midwife and an herbalist. I am very excited to integrate into this beautiful community. Thank you for welcoming me here!
I received my BA in Eastern Medicine and Philosophy from UMass at Amherst in 2000 and am a graduate of Birthwise Midwifery School, an institution that trains direct-entry midwives. During my training, I traveled throughout the United States and Africa and served many different communities. I have been witness to an assortment of styles and techniques and have acquired pieces of wisdom from many amazing and talented midwives.
I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a Licensed Midwife (LM). I am a member of MANA (Midwives Alliance of North America) and the Vermont Midwives Alliance. I am trained as a doula through DONA (Doulas of North America).
I have studied herbalism extensively with teachers including Ellen Evert Hopman, Pam Montgomery and Susun S. Weed. Herbs are an integral part of my life and my practice, and I enjoy sharing this wisdom with my clients and students.
I love being a midwife and look forward to each new experience! It is such a gift to support families and to welcome the next generation onto the earth.
I invite you to call or e-mail with any questions.
